Titan Shares Rise as Prabhudas Lilladher Sets Rs 5,330 Target

Titan Company shares climbed over 3% following strong Q2 FY27 results and a brokerage upgrade. The company reported a 54% jump in quarterly profit while announcing plans to raise Rs 2,500 crore via debentures.

Titan Company shares gained over 3% on Friday as the market responded to the company's strong second-quarter financial performance and a positive outlook from brokerage firm Prabhudas Lilladher. The brokerage has maintained an 'Accumulate' rating on the stock with a revised target price of Rs 5,330, citing the company's ability to maintain resilience despite competitive pressures in the jewelry sector.

In its financial report for the quarter ended September 2026, Titan recorded a 54% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit, reaching Rs 1,722 crore after excluding a one-time accounting gain of Rs 671 crore. This growth was supported by steady demand across its key segments, including jewelry, watches, and eyewear. Analysts highlight that the company's jewelry business continues to hold a stable margin profile, which remains a core factor for its long-term growth trajectory.

Alongside the earnings update, Titan shared significant adjustments to its capital structure. The company successfully redeemed Rs 1,600 crore in commercial paper on November 5, 2026. Simultaneously, the board has approved a proposal to raise up to Rs 2,500 crore through the issuance of unsecured, rated, listed, redeemable Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs). These moves reflect the company's active management of its debt obligations and funding requirements.

Beyond financial and operational updates, the company also announced a change in leadership. Noel N. Tata, the Vice Chairman and Director, will retire effective November 12, 2026. While the company maintains a strong market position, investors remain mindful of potential risks, including volatility in gold prices, which can influence consumer demand. Competitive intensity in the retail jewelry space also remains a factor that could impact profit margins if not managed effectively. The sustained performance of the TEAL division in automation and aerospace, however, is expected by analysts to provide additional support to the overall business as the company moves into the second half of the fiscal year.
