TVS Motor, Glenmark, PFC: Analyst Picks Amid Nifty Rise

Market analyst Ajit Mishra of Religare Broking has highlighted TVS Motor, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, and Power Finance Corporation following a strong 1% rally in the Nifty index. The index closed at 24,250 as positive quarterly earnings and IT sector performance improved investor sentiment. These stocks are being monitored for their technical patterns as the broader market shows signs of renewed momentum.

The Indian stock market witnessed a broad-based recovery on Wednesday, with the Nifty index climbing over 1% to finish the session at 24,250.20. This upward trend was largely supported by healthy quarterly financial reports and strong buying activity in technology stocks, which bolstered overall market confidence. The positive momentum extended beyond large-cap indices, with midcap and smallcap shares recording gains between 0.80% and 1.49%.

Technical Developments in Key Stocks

Analyst Ajit Mishra from Religare Broking has pointed toward specific technical setups in three major companies, focusing on their price movements relative to key moving averages and consolidation patterns. TVS Motor Company has recently seen a breakout from a long-term period of flat trading. The stock is currently maintaining a pattern of higher highs and higher lows, supported by increased trading volumes, which often signals a continuation of an established uptrend.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has also drawn attention for maintaining a position above its 200-day exponential moving average. According to the analyst's observation, the stock appears to have built a base following a period of decline and is showing signs of a potential bullish pattern as it moves toward the upper limit of its current trading range.

Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has similarly shown signs of recovery by reclaiming its long-term moving averages. The stock experienced a breakout above a descending trendline, a movement that has been accompanied by higher volumes. This activity is often interpreted by technical analysts as a sign of renewed interest from market participants.

Market Context and Investor Monitorables

While the technical outlook for these companies appears improved, investors should consider the broader market environment. The Nifty has successfully moved above its 20-day and 100-day moving averages, but it faces a hurdle near the 24,400 level, where the 200-day moving average acts as a point of resistance. Success in breaking and holding above this level may be required for further upside.

Beyond technical charts, macroeconomic factors remain relevant for investors. While the Indian rupee has provided some support, global concerns such as the potential impact of US Federal Reserve policy decisions, fluctuating crude oil prices, and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East continue to influence market volatility. Investors may track how individual companies manage these external pressures alongside their operational growth in the coming quarters. The next significant move for these stocks will likely depend on their ability to sustain current technical breakouts and deliver consistent performance in line with broader market trends.
