Motilal Oswal has released a research report on Happy Forgings (HFL), reiterating its 'BUY' rating and setting a target price of INR 1,200. The report states that Happy Forgings' Profit After Tax (PAT) for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026 (2QFY26) was INR 734 million, which was close to expectations. A significant highlight was the company achieving record-high operating margins of 30.7%, an increase of 150 basis points year-on-year, even in a challenging market with weak demand, particularly from export regions. The report emphasizes that Happy Forgings' strong financial performance historically, compared to its competitors, points to excellent operational efficiencies. The target price of INR 1,200 is based on valuing the company at 27 times its estimated Earnings Per Share (EPS) for September 2027.
