Siemens Energy India Rated 'Buy' by Prabhudas Lilladher, Target at INR 3,655

Brokerage firm Prabhudas Lilladher has upgraded Siemens Energy India to 'Buy' with a price target of INR 3,655. The shift comes after the company posted a 68% jump in profit for Q3 FY2026. While the stock's order book remains strong at over INR 19,000 crore, investors are closely watching project execution timelines and valuation levels.

Prabhudas Lilladher has upgraded its rating for Siemens Energy India to 'Buy' from 'Accumulate', setting a new price target of INR 3,655 per share. The upgrade follows a strong performance in the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, where the company saw its revenue grow by 39.3% to INR 2,486 crore compared to the same period last year. Profit for the quarter also increased significantly, rising 67.8% to INR 441 crore, supported by an operating margin improvement of 430 basis points to 21.9%.

The investment thesis is built on the company's robust order backlog, which stood at INR 19,331 crore at the end of the quarter, reflecting a 16.4% year-on-year increase. Siemens Energy India is gaining traction in the power infrastructure market by providing high-value grid solutions, such as HVDC (high-voltage direct current) and STATCOM technology. These systems are critical for stabilizing power grids as more renewable energy is integrated into the system. Beyond domestic power projects, the company is also expanding its footprint in global markets, including the United States, by acting as a manufacturing base for its parent company.

In a separate corporate development, the company’s promoter entities recently filed to reclassify their status from 'promoter' to 'public' category. This move follows their current position of holding nil equity shares and exercising no management control over the company.

While the growth outlook is positive, investors should be aware of certain risks. The company’s stock, trading near INR 3,122 in early September 2026, has historically traded at high valuation multiples, with current price-to-earnings ratios hovering around 74x. If future earnings growth slows down, these high valuations could limit the stock's upside. Furthermore, the firm operates in a capital-intensive sector where the timely execution of large infrastructure contracts is crucial. Investors should monitor how effectively the company manages these projects, as well as any potential supply-chain disruptions or fluctuations in raw material prices that could impact profit margins.
