Sagility Q2 Revenue Climbs 22.5%, EBITDA Forecast Raised

Sagility India reported a 22.5% revenue rise to Rs 2,032 crore for Q2 FY27. The company raised its annual EBITDA margin guidance to 25-26%, citing improved operational efficiency. While revenue and margins met expectations, investors are monitoring risks related to currency volatility and client concentration in the US healthcare market.

Sagility India posted a revenue growth of 22.5% year-on-year for the second quarter of the 2027 fiscal year, with total revenue reaching Rs 2,032 crore. This performance was primarily driven by organic growth within the company's healthcare-focused business process management services. The firm recorded an EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization) of Rs 512 crore, translating to a margin of 25.2%.

Following these results, the company updated its outlook for the full fiscal year. It increased its adjusted EBITDA margin guidance to a range of 25% to 26%, up from the previous forecast of 24% to 25%. Management attributed this potential margin expansion to better internal delivery efficiencies, operating leverage, and favorable foreign exchange movements. The company maintained its guidance for low double-digit organic revenue growth for the year.

Sagility operates as a niche provider for the US healthcare industry, including payers and providers. This business model means the company is highly sensitive to changes in US healthcare regulations, client budgets, and spending patterns. Revenue is largely denominated in US dollars, making the company's financial performance susceptible to currency fluctuations between the Indian Rupee and the US dollar.

While the company showed strong operating results in the second quarter, analysts often highlight specific risks for the sector. These include client concentration, where a significant portion of revenue may come from a small number of large healthcare clients, and the ongoing challenge of managing wage inflation for specialized talent in India. Brokerage firm Motilal Oswal noted the company's healthy business momentum and improved margins, assigning a price target of Rs 57 to the stock.

Looking ahead, the primary monitorables for investors include the company's ability to execute its current project pipeline and its success in adding new clients. The actual realization of the increased EBITDA margin guidance will depend on maintaining cost efficiency and stable demand within the US healthcare market, which continues to be the company's primary revenue source. Shareholders will also track future quarterly updates to see if the company can sustain its growth trajectory amidst broader sector competition.
