NeoTrader’s Raja Venkatraman Shares 3 November Stock Picks

Market analyst Raja Venkatraman has highlighted three stocks amid a Nifty 50 recovery toward 23,000. As market breadth remains cautious, the focus turns to Ather Energy, Shyam Metalics, and Piramal Pharma, reflecting recent technical momentum and company-specific fundamental triggers.

The Indian equity market began November with a sense of cautious optimism, as the Nifty 50 index managed to reclaim the 23,000 level after defending the 22,800 support zone. While indices have shown resilience, the broader market participation remains thin, with large-cap IT stocks leading the charge while banking and midcap segments face selling pressure. Amidst this technical backdrop, Raja Venkatraman, co-founder of NeoTrader, has identified three potential trading opportunities based on chart patterns and recent business developments.

Ather Energy and Market Volatility

Ather Energy, a prominent player in the electric two-wheeler space, is being watched for a technical revival from oversold levels. The analyst suggests a focus on the stock above the ₹1,760 mark, with a potential technical target of ₹1,995 and a stop-loss at ₹1,650. Fundamentally, the company recently achieved a milestone by reporting its first quarterly profit of ₹1.26 crore, supported by plans for a major capacity expansion of 2.25 lakh units. However, investors may note that the stock has faced volatility due to the expiry of a six-month shareholder lock-in period, which resulted in significant block deals. Market participants are monitoring whether this supply pressure stabilizes as the company executes its growth strategy.

Shyam Metalics and Integration Strategy

Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited has drawn attention following a chart breakout. The analyst views the stock as a potential opportunity for purchase above ₹1,165, with a target of ₹1,285 and a stop-loss at ₹1,115. From a fundamental perspective, the company has reported a sharp increase in net profit for the second and third quarters of the current fiscal year. A key monitorable for the firm is its proposed acquisition of a 51% stake in Alom Solar to secure coal assets for backward integration. The acquisition, valued at ₹51,000, remains subject to definitive agreements and statutory approvals, with a target completion date by the end of November 2026. Any delay in these approvals could impact sentiment.

Piramal Pharma Growth Guidance

Piramal Pharma is the third stock in focus, with the analyst suggesting a watch level above ₹240, a target of ₹265, and a stop-loss at ₹229. The company has shown positive momentum, bolstered by a strong first half of the financial year where it recorded 23% growth. Consequently, the management raised its revenue growth guidance for FY27 to 18-20%. While the technical setup appears supportive, investors generally track the risks associated with the company’s leveraged balance sheet and the operational complexities inherent in managing a diversified contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) and healthcare portfolio. Regulatory compliance remains a persistent factor that investors monitor in the pharmaceutical sector.

While these technical setups offer clear entry and exit points, the broader market remains sensitive to external factors, including crude oil price fluctuations and geopolitical tensions. Until midcap and smallcap indices show more meaningful participation, analysts suggest that markets may continue to trade within a range rather than staging a sustained breakout.
