Navin Fluorine International reported a 57% jump in Q2 FY2027 revenue to ₹1,191 crore, supported by robust specialty chemical demand. The company also extended a major supply contract with Honeywell, adding USD 180 million to its future pipeline. While growth trends are positive, investors are weighing the high valuation against the execution of upcoming expansion projects.
Navin Fluorine International reported strong financial results for the second quarter of the 2027 fiscal year, with revenue rising 57% year-on-year to ₹1,191 crore. The company’s net profit grew by 82% to ₹269 crore, while operating EBITDA margins improved to 34.2%, compared to 32.4% in the same period last year. Following these results, brokerage firm Prabhudas Lilladher maintained an 'Accumulate' rating on the stock, setting a price target of ₹9,554.
Revenue Pipeline and Contract Extension
A significant contributor to the company’s long-term outlook is the extension of its supply agreement with Solstice Advanced Materials US, an assignee of Honeywell. The contract for the supply of advanced materials has been extended by four years, taking it through December 2032. This extension adds approximately USD 180 million in potential revenue, bringing the total value of the contract to roughly USD 590 million. This deal provides the company with clearer order visibility for its high-performance products division, which has been seeing increased volumes in hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs).
Operational Updates and Expansion
The company has declared an interim dividend of ₹8 per equity share, with a record date set for November 5, 2026. Operationally, the firm is focusing on scaling its specialty chemicals division following the successful debottlenecking of its multi-purpose plants. Furthermore, the company is advancing its infrastructure capacity, with the second phase of the cGMP4 facility currently under construction. Management expects this facility to become fully operational by the final quarter of the current fiscal year.
Valuation and Risks
While the company has shown strong earnings growth, the valuation remains a key point of discussion for investors. Prabhudas Lilladher values the company at 38 times its September 2028 estimated earnings per share. This premium valuation suggests that the market has high expectations for the company's future performance. For shareholders, the primary monitorables include the successful and timely commissioning of the cGMP4 facility and the ability to maintain profit margins amid global pricing fluctuations. Investors should also watch for any impact of geopolitical volatility on international supply chains, which could influence demand for specialty chemicals. The execution of these capital-intensive projects remains a critical factor for the company to justify its current market valuation in the coming quarters.
