Lumino Industries IPO Opens Aug 27: Price Band and Key Details

Lumino Industries launches its ₹700 crore IPO with a price band of ₹78–₹82 per share. The issue opens on August 27, 2026, and includes a plan to use funds for major debt repayment. Brokerage Anand Rathi has suggested a long-term subscription, though investors should weigh the company's high debt levels.

Lumino Industries is set to open its initial public offering (IPO) on August 27, 2026, with the subscription window closing on August 31, 2026. The company, which provides integrated engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for the power transmission and distribution sector, has set a price band of ₹78–₹82 per equity share. Ahead of the public issue, the company secured ₹207 crore from anchor investors at the upper end of the price band, signaling institutional interest.

Business Model and Financial Focus

The company designs, manufactures, and supplies critical components for power infrastructure, including conductors, power cables, and specialized wiring. It also works on high-temperature, low-sag conductors used in modern grid setups. In its financial results for the 2026 fiscal year, the company reported an operating EBITDA margin of 11.7%.

A central feature of this IPO is capital allocation. Of the total ₹700 crore being raised—comprising a fresh issue of ₹500 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of ₹200 crore—the company plans to use ₹337 crore to repay existing debt. A smaller portion, ₹15 crore, is marked for capital spending on expansion. Reducing this debt load is a primary goal to improve the company's financial flexibility.

Valuation and Market View

Brokerage firm Anand Rathi has assigned a 'Subscribe - Long Term' rating to the IPO. According to the firm, the recommendation is based on the company's multi-decade experience, an integrated business model, and a robust order book in the power infrastructure space. At the upper price band of ₹82, the company’s post-issue market capitalization stands at ₹24,973 million, with a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 15.5x and an EV/EBITDA multiple of 9.6x based on FY26 earnings.

Risks and Monitorables

While the company has a strong order book, investors should carefully review the risks involved. As of July 2026, the company holds a total debt of ₹1,856.7 crore. High debt levels can impact profitability through significant interest payments, and the company’s focus on using IPO funds for repayment highlights this pressure.

Additionally, the business is exposed to fluctuations in raw material prices, particularly copper and aluminium, which are essential for its manufacturing processes. Volatility in these commodity prices can affect profit margins. The sector is also highly competitive, with established peers vying for similar EPC and infrastructure projects.

Investors tracking the IPO may want to monitor subscription data and any management updates regarding the timeline for debt reduction and order execution efficiency. As with all infrastructure-focused businesses, the company's performance remains tied to broader sector cycles and government spending on power grid development.
