Hero MotoCorp Target Raised To Rs 5,850 By Prabhudas Lilladher

Brokerage firm Prabhudas Lilladher has increased its price target for Hero MotoCorp to Rs 5,850. The upgrade reflects strong gains in market share, a focus on selling higher-value motorcycles, and improved performance in the electric vehicle segment.

Prabhudas Lilladher has raised its price target for Hero MotoCorp to Rs 5,850, reflecting a positive outlook on the company's current business strategy. The upgrade comes as the company continues to balance its traditional strength in the entry-level motorcycle segment with new efforts to grow in the premium and electric vehicle (EV) markets.

The brokerage points to a successful strategy of 'premiumization'—moving toward higher-value products—as a key driver that is helping the company protect its profit margins. Alongside this, Hero MotoCorp continues to defend its significant market share in the 100cc commuter motorcycle space. Monthly registration data from the Vahan portal has consistently supported the view that the company is effectively competing and capturing market share, despite volatility in the two-wheeler industry.

Efficiency programs at the company, which focus on controlling costs and reducing unnecessary spending, are also playing a role in maintaining financial health. These savings have allowed the company to keep investing in growth, particularly within its electric vehicle business, without significantly pressuring its overall profits.

Beyond the core motorcycle business, analysts noted that Hero MotoCorp’s value is also tied to its investments in other entities, such as Hero Fincorp and Ather Energy. These subsidiaries are viewed as important contributors to the company's overall valuation.

Looking ahead, investors may keep a close watch on a few key areas. The two-wheeler market remains highly competitive, with rivals such as Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor aggressively expanding in both the premium and electric segments. The company's ability to maintain its market dominance in the 100cc segment while growing its presence in the 125cc and electric categories will be critical. Additionally, external factors like raw material price trends and rural demand recovery will likely continue to influence margins in the coming quarters. Shareholders may track upcoming monthly sales data and company updates on EV execution to assess whether the business can sustain its current momentum.
