HDFC Securities Adds Ramkrishna Forgings, SCI to Buy List

Analyst Vinay Rajani of HDFC Securities has issued buy recommendations for Ramkrishna Forgings and Shipping Corporation of India, citing positive technical chart patterns. As the Nifty 50 index regains momentum, these stocks are showing signs of potential price recovery. These signals are based on short-term technical setups and do not account for underlying long-term fundamental changes.

HDFC Securities has identified potential upside in Ramkrishna Forgings and Shipping Corporation of India, as the Nifty 50 index begins to show signs of a recovery. Following the benchmark index's move to close above its five-day Exponential Moving Average—a key sign of improving market sentiment—analyst Vinay Rajani has flagged these two companies for their recent chart movements.

Ramkrishna Forgings has been highlighted for its potential to break out from a flag pattern on daily charts. According to the brokerage, the stock has found firm ground near its 50-day Exponential Moving Average, supported by rising trading volumes and a Relative Strength Index above the 50 mark. The recommendation sets a target price of ₹775, with a stop loss at ₹685 to manage downside risk. While the technical setup appears favorable, investors may want to consider the company's fundamental status, which includes ongoing capacity expansion plans and specific debt reduction targets that will determine its medium-term performance.

Shipping Corporation of India is also drawing attention following a period of correction. The stock recently formed a double bottom pattern near the ₹261 level, which analysts often view as a sign of a trend reversal. With the stock finding support near its 200-day Simple Moving Average, the analyst has set a target of ₹305 with a stop loss of ₹275. However, participants should monitor the company's financial health closely. The business carries significant contingent liabilities of approximately ₹4,099 crore, and managing working capital remains a critical factor for its operational stability.

Investors should remember that these recommendations are rooted in technical analysis, which focuses on price trends and chart patterns rather than long-term business valuations. Technical calls are often short-term in nature and can be sensitive to broader market volatility, such as geopolitical tensions or sudden changes in macroeconomic policy. While the Nifty 50 has reclaimed lost ground, market participants may choose to watch for sustained volume support before assuming these breakouts will hold. The final outcome for these trades will depend on market conditions and the company's ability to navigate its specific financial and operational risks.
