Brokerage firm Anand Rathi has reaffirmed its 'Buy' rating on Fine Organic Industries with a target price of Rs 6,000. This follows a strong Q1 FY27 performance, where the company reported improved profit margins and steady export demand. Investors may track the progress of the company's ongoing expansion projects and potential risks from raw material cost volatility.
Anand Rathi has maintained its 'Buy' recommendation for Fine Organic Industries, setting a target price of Rs 6,000 per share. This outlook comes after the company posted a strong set of financial results for the first quarter of the 2027 fiscal year. The brokerage highlighted that the company's ability to manage costs while expanding its margins has been a key factor in its positive assessment.
Q1 Performance and Margin Growth
Fine Organic Industries reported a strong start to the new financial year. For the quarter ending June 2026, the company recorded consolidated revenue of Rs 694.2 crore, marking an 18% increase compared to the same period last year. On a standalone basis, revenue stood at Rs 668.1 crore, a growth of 19.5% year-on-year. The standalone profit after tax surged by 46% to Rs 135.5 crore.
A major contributor to this performance was the significant improvement in profit margins. The standalone EBITDA margin reached 25.9% in Q1 FY27, compared to 19.2% in the previous year's corresponding quarter. Much of this growth was supported by the company’s strong export performance, which currently accounts for roughly 60% of its total revenue. By passing on higher raw material and utility costs to customers, the company was able to protect and improve its profitability.
Financial Health and Expansion Plans
The company remains in a strong financial position, being largely debt-free. This financial stability allows it to fund its growth projects through internal cash flows. Among its upcoming expansion plans, the company is focusing on new manufacturing facilities, including a project in the USA and capacity additions at the JNPA SEZ. Additionally, the company finalized the insurance claim for the 2024 fire incident at its Badlapur plant in July 2026, receiving Rs 4.35 crore.
Risks to Monitor
While the company has shown operational strength, investors may keep an eye on several risk factors. The specialty chemical sector is sensitive to the prices of vegetable oil, which serves as a key raw material. Any volatility in these prices can impact profit margins. Furthermore, with about 60% of its revenue coming from exports, the company is exposed to currency fluctuations and international trade policies. Some analysts have also raised concerns about the stock's high valuation, suggesting that market expectations are already quite optimistic. The successful and timely execution of greenfield projects, such as the new US facility, will be a key area for investors to monitor in the coming quarters to ensure the company can meet its long-term growth targets.
