Crompton Greaves Q2 Revenue Rises 18% to ₹2,260 Crore

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals reported an 18% rise in revenue to ₹2,260 crore for the quarter ended September 2026. The company’s profit after tax grew 38% as strong demand in the fans and appliance segments helped offset input cost pressure. Investors are now monitoring the company’s progress toward its long-term margin improvement targets of 11-12% by fiscal 2029.

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals reported its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2027, showing growth across its core business units. The company reported revenue of ₹2,260 crore, marking an 18% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. Operating profit, or EBITDA, grew 24% to reach ₹200 crore. Consequently, the adjusted profit after tax rose 38% to ₹120 crore.

The performance was largely driven by the Electric Consumer Durables segment. The company noted that volume growth in the fan and appliance categories remained strong throughout the quarter. Additionally, the integration and performance of the Butterfly brand, alongside contributions from the export operations, solar rooftop, and wire divisions, supported the top-line growth.

To manage the impact of commodity inflation—a recurring challenge in the consumer electricals sector—the company employed strategic pricing adjustments. These measures reportedly offset roughly 80% of the increased input costs during the quarter. This helped the operating profit margin reach 9.0%, an expansion of 45 basis points compared to the year-ago period.

Looking at the long-term outlook, the company has reiterated its target of achieving an EBITDA margin of 11% to 12% by fiscal 2029. Management has also expressed an intention to increase the annual revenue growth rate. Achieving these goals will require the company to continue balancing its pricing strategies while maintaining market share against peers in the competitive home appliances and electrical goods space.

For investors, the primary monitorables include the company’s ability to sustain margin expansion in the face of fluctuating raw material prices such as copper and steel, which are critical for manufacturing. Furthermore, the sustainability of demand in the fan and appliance segments, as well as the execution of its long-term financial targets, will be important factors in the coming quarters.
