Brokerage firm Prabhudas Lilladher has maintained a buy rating on Coforge with a target price of ₹2,120. The report highlights the company's focus on 'Enterprise Autonomy,' a strategy aimed at using AI to handle complex business workflows. Investors may want to track whether these significant AI investments translate into steady revenue, given the risk that many clients are still in the early stages of adopting such advanced systems.
Brokerage firm Prabhudas Lilladher has issued a positive outlook on IT services company Coforge, setting a share price target of ₹2,120. The firm’s optimistic view is tied to Coforge’s strategy of shifting its business toward 'Enterprise Autonomy.' In simple terms, this means the company is moving beyond simple AI tools that just assist workers toward building complex AI systems that can independently manage and complete entire business processes without constant human intervention.
To achieve this, Coforge is relying on its internal frameworks known as Nuuron and AgenticOps. The company is also scaling its specialized unit, Momentuum Blue, which focuses on developing the talent and technical capacity needed to deliver these AI solutions. The company has invested US$58 million in AI innovation during the 2026 financial year to build over 100 reusable 'agent archetypes'—pre-made AI components that can be quickly customized and deployed for various client needs.
However, shifting a business model carries risks. While the technology is advancing, the adoption rate among customers remains a key variable. The brokerage report notes that while about two-thirds of Coforge's clients have started using basic AI, only 5% have the technical maturity to actually run these complex autonomous workflows. If clients are not ready to adopt these advanced services, the company’s heavy investments might not lead to immediate returns, potentially putting pressure on profit margins in the short term.
Coforge plans to increase its specialized AI workforce within the Momentuum Blue unit from approximately 70-75 full-time staff to 150 by March 2028. This expansion requires significant spending on training and hiring. Investors should watch closely how effectively the company manages this growth. The success of this strategy will depend on whether the company can successfully bridge the gap between its advanced AI offerings and the actual needs of its client base.
In the broader IT sector, many companies are racing to integrate AI into their service offerings to stay competitive. While this move toward higher-value services could help Coforge maintain its pricing power, the company will face challenges, including the need to maintain strict security and compliance standards as it handles more automated processes. The ability to execute this transition smoothly while managing costs will be a primary factor in determining if the company can deliver the growth expected by market analysts.
