Asian Paints reported a strong Q2 FY26 with revenue up 6.4% and net profit up 43%. Despite broad-based demand recovery and improved profitability, analyst Deven Choksey maintained a 'REDUCE' rating with a target price of INR 2,753, citing subdued industry demand and high competition.

Asian Paints showcased robust performance in Q2 FY26. Consolidated revenue grew 6.4% year-over-year to INR 85,140 million, exceeding estimates. Profit Before Depreciation, Interest, and Taxes (PBDIT) surged by 21.3% to INR 15,034 million, with margins expanding 220 basis points to 17.7%. Net profit saw a significant jump of 43% year-over-year to INR 9,936 million, driven by cost efficiencies and operating leverage. The Decorative Business in India posted healthy volume growth of 10.9% and value growth of 6%, with demand strong across urban and rural segments. Automotive and Industrial Protective Coatings also delivered steady double-digit growth.
