Anand Rathi Hikes Navin Fluorine Target to Rs 10,175

Brokerage firm Anand Rathi has increased its price target for Navin Fluorine International to Rs 10,175 following strong second-quarter results for fiscal year 2027. The company reported significant growth in its CDMO and specialty chemicals segments, helping margins improve. Investors may now track the company's progress on upcoming capacity expansions and the impact of input costs on long-term profitability.

Anand Rathi has revised its price target for Navin Fluorine International to Rs 10,175, citing a strong performance in the second quarter of the 2027 financial year. The stock is currently trading near Rs 8,406, reflecting market activity as investors digest the company's latest financial results and forward-looking expansion strategy.

Strong Q2 Financial Performance

Navin Fluorine delivered a solid quarterly performance, with EBITDA reaching Rs 4.1 billion. This result beat analyst estimates by approximately 10% to 15%. The growth was driven by consistent demand across key business segments. The Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) division reported a 78% increase, while specialty chemicals and high-performance products expanded by 58% and 50% year-over-year, respectively.

Margin Resilience and Operational Efficiency

A central focus for investors this quarter was the company's ability to protect profit margins despite wider market challenges. Navin Fluorine maintained an EBITDA margin of 34.2%, which is an improvement of 176 basis points compared to the same period last year. Management credited this stability to internal operational efficiencies and strategic pricing decisions, which helped the company manage raw material inflation throughout the period.

Future Outlook and Risks

The company’s long-term growth plan remains anchored by upcoming capacity additions. Key projects to watch include the R32 expansion and the cGMP-4 Phase-II facility. These projects are expected to come online in the coming quarters, which could be significant for revenue visibility.

However, investors should consider that the updated price target assumes a valuation multiple of 40x projected September 2028 earnings, which implies high growth expectations. The primary monitorable for shareholders will be the execution of these new projects; any delays in commissioning or unforeseen increases in raw material costs could put pressure on the company’s profit margins and valuation. Following the recent run-up in stock price, tracking the timeline for these capacity expansions and management's guidance on demand will be crucial.
