Analyst Kunal Kamble Flags Technical Breakouts in Vijaya Diagnostics, Vi, PNB

Technical analyst Kunal Kamble has noted bullish momentum in Vijaya Diagnostics, Vodafone Idea, and Punjab National Bank based on price patterns and trading volumes. While these stocks show technical strength, investors should also weigh these signals against fundamental risks such as debt, sector competition, and asset quality that remain crucial for each company.

Technical research analyst Kunal Kamble from Bonanza has pointed to potential momentum shifts in three Indian stocks: Vijaya Diagnostics, Vodafone Idea, and Punjab National Bank. The analysis highlights recent chart patterns, such as stock price movements and volume trends, which often suggest changing investor interest in the short term.

For Vijaya Diagnostics, the analysis notes a breach of the ₹1,430 resistance level, supported by higher trading volumes. The stock is currently trading above its key exponential moving averages, and the Relative Strength Index (RSI), a tool used to measure the speed and change of price movements, is above 70. While these technical indicators suggest rising momentum, investors should note that the diagnostic sector is highly competitive. Success for the company depends on its ability to manage costs as it expands its network and maintains profitability amid intense local and national competition.

Vodafone Idea has shown a recovery from the ₹12.60 support level. The analyst highlights that the stock is now trading above major moving averages, with the RSI indicating renewed movement. However, the business reality for Vodafone Idea is distinct from pure technical trading. The company continues to face significant pressure from its high debt levels, the ongoing need for funding to upgrade its network, and the challenge of retaining its subscriber base. These fundamental issues often create volatility that technical indicators alone may not fully capture.

Punjab National Bank has been noted for crossing the ₹115–₹116 resistance zone. Similar to the other stocks mentioned, the analysis points to bullish price action and higher trading volume, with the RSI confirming upward momentum. For public sector banks like PNB, technical breakouts are often secondary to broader economic factors. Investors typically watch the bank’s asset quality—the health of its loan book—and overall credit demand. While technicals can show short-term interest, the bank’s performance is heavily tied to the health of the Indian economy and its ability to manage bad loans over the long term.

It is important for investors to remember that technical analysis looks primarily at price history and volume to suggest where a stock might move next. It does not account for company-specific news, earnings reports, or sudden regulatory changes that can quickly reverse a trend. Market participants often combine these technical signals with a review of a company’s financial health, debt position, and management strategy to make a complete assessment.
