Overview

Indian mutual funds have invested approximately ₹55,000 crore in Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs) and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), representing about 1% of the industry's Assets Under Management (AUM). This significant allocation by 25 fund houses is expected to grow substantially as awareness and regulatory clarity improve. SEBI is also considering including REITs in key market indices to boost liquidity and participation.
