Lighthouse Canton, a global investment institution established in 2014, has announced a significant milestone by securing $40 million in strategic funding. This is the firm's inaugural external fundraise, aimed at fueling its next phase of growth. Peak XV Partners led the round, joined by Nextinfinity, the investment holding company of Shyam Maheshwari, and existing investor Qatar Insurance Company.
The capital injection will be deployed to scale up the firm's technology infrastructure, attract senior talent, and penetrate high-potential markets. Lighthouse Canton presently manages more than $5 billion in assets and has a presence in Singapore, India, the UAE, and the UK.
Shilpi Chowdhary, Group CEO of Lighthouse Canton, stated, "This is a defining milestone for us. We have built Lighthouse Canton independently with an institutional mindset. With Peak XV and our strategic partners, we are deepening our capabilities and positioning ourselves for the next decade of growth."
The company operates across wealth and asset management, catering to entrepreneurs, family offices, and institutions. Its reputation is built on an agile and trustworthy approach to managing complex, cross-border investments.
Impact This funding is expected to significantly bolster Lighthouse Canton's expansion plans, potentially leading to new service offerings and increased market share within the wealth and asset management sector. For the Indian market, it signifies continued foreign investment interest in the financial services sector, fostering competition and innovation. Rating: 5/10
