In the commercial vehicle segment, domestic sales rose by 14%, reaching 31,741 units. The farm equipment business also showcased impressive performance, with total tractor sales growing by 13% to 73,660 units. Domestic tractor sales were up 12%, and exports saw a significant jump of 41% with 1,589 units.
Veejay Nakra, President of the Farm Equipment Business, attributed the strong performance to a good monsoon and the benefit of the September GST rate cut. He added that timely Rabi sowing and good Kharif harvesting progress are positive indicators for future tractor sales.
