For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, the auto component manufacturer reported a consolidated net profit of ₹77.3 crore, down approximately 22.7% from the ₹100 crore profit recorded in the same period a year ago.
This decline occurred even as the company saw robust demand across its markets, with revenue from operations growing nearly 30% year-on-year to ₹2,634.2 crore. Domestic operations in India expanded by 28.6%, while the international business saw a significant 45.6% increase, indicating strong underlying demand for the company’s products.
Margin Pressure Weighs on Bottom Line
The primary reason for the lower profit was pressure on operating margins. The company’s EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 8.5%. Management noted that margins were impacted by an approximate 0.7% under-recovery of inflation-related costs. In the automotive component industry, companies often face a time lag in passing on increased raw material or operational costs to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Until the company can successfully negotiate and pass these costs on, profitability per unit sold remains compressed, effectively canceling out the gains from higher sales volumes.

Despite the broader margin challenges, the company’s push into the electric vehicle (EV) space continues to show promise. Revenue from EV models now accounts for approximately 16% of total revenue, reflecting a strong 87% year-on-year growth. This expansion is central to the company’s long-term strategy as it transitions from traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) components to high-tech electronics and EV solutions.
