New Diesel Harrier, Safari Ultra Editions Arrive

Tata Motors expanded its popular SUV lineup on Tuesday by launching the Ultra Red Dark Editions for the diesel versions of the Harrier and Safari. These new variants aim to attract buyers who previously had limited options in the Ultra trim. The Harrier Ultra diesel starts at ₹23.84 lakh, and the Safari Ultra diesel Red Dark Edition is priced at ₹24.49 lakh, both ex-showroom for manual transmission models.

Tech Upgrades Include Large Infotainment and Dashcam

The diesel Harrier and Safari Ultra trims come with significant technology upgrades. A standout feature is the 36.9 cm cinematic infotainment system, a Harman system using Samsung Neo QLED technology and Dolby Atmos for an immersive audio-visual experience. Other features include an integrated dashcam and DVR system (VisioneX E-IRVM), memory-function side mirrors (ORVMs) that automatically adjust when reversing, and a ClearView dual camera washer system for better visibility. Integrated navigation using Mappls Auto is also standard.

Tata Motors Continues Strong Sales Growth

These new model launches come as Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd reported robust sales growth. In April 2026, total sales increased by 31.12% year-on-year to 59,701 units, up from 45,532 units in April 2025. Domestic passenger vehicle sales rose 30.5% to 59,000 units. The company also saw substantial gains in international markets and electric vehicle sales, showing broad demand across its product range.
