Detailed Coverage:

Studds Accessories' shares are scheduled to list on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the BSE on November 7. Market experts anticipate potential listing gains of approximately 9-11 percent, a sentiment supported by a strong grey market premium (GMP). The company's Initial Public Offering (IPO) witnessed robust investor interest, being subscribed 73.25 times.

Studds Accessories holds a significant market position as India's largest two-wheeler helmet manufacturer by revenue in FY24 and the world's largest by volume in CY24. With nearly five decades of experience, its operations include three manufacturing units with a combined annual capacity of 9.04 million units. The company's brands, Studds and SMK, are sold extensively across India and exported to over 70 countries. They also manufacture helmets for international clients like Jay Squared LLC (Daytona) and O’Neal.

For the fiscal year 2025 (FY25), Studds reported revenue of around Rs 590 crore, EBITDA margins in the range of 18-20 percent, and a net profit of approximately Rs 70 crore. The successful expansion of its premium SMK line highlights its adaptability to market demands for stylish and safety-compliant helmets. At the upper price band of its IPO, the company was valued at a P/E of 28.5 times its FY26 annualized earnings, with a post-issue market capitalization of Rs 2,302.1 crore.

Experts suggest that while the listing outlook is positive, future growth will depend on operational execution and prevailing trends in the two-wheeler industry, especially since the IPO did not involve a fresh issue of shares. Long-term investors are advised to carefully assess the company's valuations and the offer-for-sale structure.

Impact: The successful listing and potential gains of Studds Accessories could positively influence investor sentiment towards auto ancillary companies and the safety equipment sector within India. The stock's performance will be a key indicator of market appetite for companies in the two-wheeler accessory segment. Rating: 7/10
