Schaeffler India Shares Rise 2% After June Quarter Results

Schaeffler India shares climbed to Rs 4,138 on Wednesday following strong June quarter results. The auto component manufacturer reported revenue of Rs 2,760 crore and net profit of Rs 325.78 crore, supported by a nearly debt-free balance sheet.

Schaeffler India shares gained over 2% to trade at Rs 4,138.30 on Wednesday morning, reflecting investor confidence following the company’s latest financial report. As a key player in the auto component sector, the company’s performance is often monitored by those tracking the Nifty Midcap 150 index.

For the quarter ending June 2026, the company posted consolidated revenue of Rs 2,760.55 Crore, showing steady growth from the previous quarter. Net profit also rose to Rs 325.78 Crore, while the Earnings Per Share (EPS) for the period stood at Rs 20.80. These figures suggest that the company is maintaining operational momentum despite the complexities within the automotive manufacturing environment.

The annual financial performance for 2025 also provides a broader view of the company’s trajectory. Revenue grew by 17.65% to Rs 9,685.85 Crore, and net profit increased by 22.52% to Rs 1,150.35 Crore compared to the previous year. This growth trend, paired with a focus on shareholder returns such as the dividend payout of Rs 35 per share announced earlier this year, has kept the stock in focus for many investors.

One of the defining features of Schaeffler India's financial profile is its clean balance sheet. The company maintains a negligible debt-to-equity ratio, which provides a buffer against the high interest costs that can affect other manufacturing firms. This stability is often viewed as a defensive advantage in the cyclical automotive industry, where demand can fluctuate based on broader economic conditions.

While the financial results remain robust, investors may note certain factors that could influence future performance. The stock currently trades at a valuation multiple of approximately 10 times its book value, which is a premium compared to some peers. This suggests that the market has priced in high expectations for growth. Furthermore, as an auto component supplier, the company is directly tied to the health of the automotive cycle. Any slowdown in vehicle sales or sustained pressure from macroeconomic and geopolitical factors on raw material costs could impact margins.

The company’s global parent, the Schaeffler Group, also faces a challenging international market environment, which is an external variable to track alongside local operations. Investors looking at the stock may find it useful to monitor future quarterly revenue trends, the ability of the company to pass on cost increases to customers, and any updates regarding new capacity expansion or order inflows that could sustain its current growth rate.
