Maruti Suzuki India, the nation's largest automaker, reported a 16.72% increase in total sales for March 2026 compared to the previous year. The company sold 2,25,251 vehicles, up from 1,92,984 units in March 2025.
March Sales Performance
Domestic passenger vehicle (PV) sales grew 10.27%, reaching 1,66,219 units compared to 1,50,743 units in March 2025.
Segment Breakdown
The compact car segment, including popular models like the Swift and WagonR, saw sales rise to 71,789 units from 66,906 units. Sales for utility vehicles, such as the Brezza and Grand Vitara, reached 71,356 units from 61,097 units.
Sales for the mini car segment, including the Alto and S-Presso, reached 11,741 units. Light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales, led by the Super Carry model, increased to 3,209 units from 2,391 units in the prior year.
Fiscal Year Overview
For the full fiscal year 2025-26, Maruti Suzuki India's total sales reached 24,22,713 units, compared to 22,34,266 units sold in fiscal year 2024-25.
