Tractor Sales Drive Strong April Performance
The farm equipment division was a major contributor, with total tractor sales hitting 48,411 units – a significant 21% increase compared to April 2025. Veejay Nakra, President of the Farm Equipment Business, noted the strong performance despite the absence of the Chaitra Navratri festival in April this year, which had boosted sales in the previous year. Exports for tractors also showed strong growth, rising 30% to 2,007 units.
Passenger Vehicles and Commercial Sales Also Climb
The automotive division also performed well, with domestic passenger vehicle sales growing 8% to 56,331 units. The company also sold 23,427 commercial vehicles in the domestic market. Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of the Automotive Division, expressed optimism, saying the company started the new fiscal year 2026-27 on a "positive note in April."
