Kross Shares Hit Record High ₹326 After 143% Profit Jump

Kross Limited shares surged 20% to hit a record high of ₹326.80 following strong second-quarter results for fiscal 2027. The auto ancillary company reported a 143.5% increase in net profit to ₹19.69 crore, driven by high demand in the commercial vehicle and tractor markets. Investors are now monitoring whether the firm can maintain this margin growth amid cyclical demand trends.

Shares of Kross Limited reached a record high of ₹326.80 on the BSE during Monday's trading session, recording a 20% gain. This movement followed the company's second-quarter earnings report for the 2027 fiscal year, which showed significant profit growth. The firm reported a net profit of ₹19.69 crore, a 143.5% increase compared to the same period last year. Trading volume was high, with over 13.86 million shares changing hands, accounting for approximately 21% of the company's total equity.

Revenue from operations rose by 79.6% to ₹235.09 crore. Management stated that growth was supported by stronger demand in the medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) and trailer segments, along with a recovery in the tractor and agriculture equipment markets. The company's EBITDA also increased by 107.4% to ₹30.60 crore.

Profit margins expanded by 175 basis points to reach 13% for the quarter. The company explained that this margin improvement was achieved through better operational efficiency and strategies involving backward integration, where the company produces key components in-house to reduce reliance on external suppliers and manage costs. This helped offset the pressure from rising raw material prices, a common challenge in the auto ancillary industry.

While the recent performance is positive, investors in auto ancillary firms like Kross often track the cyclical nature of the commercial vehicle and tractor industries. Demand in these sectors is heavily influenced by economic cycles, government infrastructure spending, and farm income levels. Because auto component manufacturers often rely on a limited number of large original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) as their primary customers, the company's future revenue is closely tied to the production schedules and success of these major clients.

Looking ahead, the company has indicated that its growth strategy involves utilizing its recently expanded production capacity. Investors will likely monitor how effectively the company can increase capacity utilisation in the coming quarters. Maintaining consistent margins while balancing potentially volatile raw material costs and fluctuating demand from the commercial and tractor vehicle segments will remain key factors for the market to evaluate.
