Kia India Launches 2026 Seltos Facelift, Redefining Mid-SUV Standards
Kia India has officially launched its much-anticipated 2026 Seltos, setting new benchmarks for the mid-SUV segment. The updated model arrives with a starting price of ₹10.99 lakh, escalating to ₹19.99 lakh for the top variants. This launch signifies Kia India's commitment to innovation and customer value, aiming to recapture market momentum with a vehicle that promises advanced technology, enhanced safety, and superior design. Bookings for the new Seltos commenced on December 11, 2025, with deliveries scheduled to begin in mid-January.

The 2026 Seltos represents a significant evolution in its design and physical presence. The SUV has grown substantially, with its length increasing by 95 mm to 4,460 mm and width by 30 mm to 1,830 mm. Inside, the 2026 Seltos offers a luxurious and tech-forward cabin with dual-tone Smoky Black & White interiors and leatherette seats. The centerpiece is the expansive 75.18 cm three-screen display panel, integrating the instrument cluster and infotainment system. This is paired with a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel and a host of comfort features, including a 10-way power driver seat with lumbar adjustment and relaxation function, integrated memory settings synced with ORVMs, and ventilated front seats with a welcome retract feature for easy entry and exit.
Rear passengers are not forgotten, with 60:40 split seats offering recline adjustment, integrated sunshade curtains, and Type-C USB charging ports. A dual-pane panoramic sunroof adds to the premium feel. Connectivity and entertainment are handled by the upgraded Kia Connect 2.0 suite, offering Over-the-Air software updates, a Bose sound system with 8 speakers, and 64-colour ambient mood lighting. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a smartphone wireless charger, ensure seamless integration of personal devices.
Powertrain Options and Safety Advancements
The new Seltos is built on Kia’s global K3 platform, making its India debut. This platform emphasizes high-strength steel and structural reinforcements for enhanced crash protection and rigidity. Kia has equipped the Seltos with a comprehensive 24 standard safety pack, including 6 airbags, ABS, ESC, and Rollover Sensor. A standout feature is the available ADAS Level 2 suite, incorporating 21 autonomous safety functions such as Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, alongside a 360° Surround Camera.
The Seltos is offered with multiple powertrain choices. These include the Smartstream G1.5 petrol engine paired with either a 6-speed manual (6MT) or an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), and a more potent Smartstream G1.5 T-GDi petrol engine available with a 6MT or a 7-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission (7DCT). The diesel lineup features a 1.5L CRDi VGT engine offered with both a 6-speed manual (6MT) and a 6-speed automatic (6AT). Pricing varies significantly across these combinations and trim levels.
