Royal Enfield Enters Electric Motorcycle Market

Eicher Motors shares surged 3.4%, reaching an intra-day high of ₹7,393.95, as its Royal Enfield division officially entered the electric motorcycle market. The launch of the Flying Flea C6 introduces a new sub-brand, Flying Flea, aimed at capturing the urban electric mobility segment.

Flying Flea C6: Specs and Rollout Plan

The Flying Flea C6 features a 3.91 kWh battery, capable of reaching 115 km/h and producing over 400 Nm of wheel torque, while weighing 124 kg. It includes advanced safety features such as lean-angle sensing ABS and traction control, along with integrated connectivity options. Developed entirely in-house by over 200 engineers and supported by numerous patent applications, the motorcycle has already earned a Red Dot Award. Royal Enfield plans a phased city-by-city rollout, beginning in Bengaluru.
