Bajaj Auto entered the electric three-wheeler market Tuesday, launching its new Bajaj WEGO brand. The company claims this launch introduces India's most extensive electric three-wheeler product range.
WEGO Platform Features
The WEGO platform is designed for efficiency, offering a class-leading range of up to 296 kilometers. Key technology includes an advanced battery management system and regenerative braking to optimize power and extend range. Vehicles feature Bluetooth connectivity, a digital LCD display, and improved gradability for tougher roads.
Model Lineup and Pricing
For passenger transport, the 50 Series models (P5009, P5012) are priced from ₹3,11,908 with ranges of 213 km and 272 km. The 70 Series (P7009, P7012) offers ranges between 182 km and 259 km. The premium 90 Series (P9018) leads with a 296 km ARAI-certified range at ₹4,48,303.
The cargo segment includes the C9009 and C9012 models, providing ranges of 149 km and 207 km, respectively. These models start at ₹3,87,371 and are aimed at last-mile goods delivery.
Market Push and Customer Support
Bajaj Auto plans to use this varied lineup to gain a larger share of the fast-growing electric three-wheeler market. The company supports the WEGO range with a five-year warranty, roadside assistance, and access to its large network of over 1,500 sales and service points.
