Apollo Tyres Gains 2% As Annual Profit Crosses ₹1,370 Crore

Apollo Tyres shares rose 2.13% to ₹437.25 following strong fiscal year 2026 results. The company reported a significant profit increase alongside a healthier balance sheet and reduced debt levels. Investors are focusing on the company's improved cash flow and the recent announcement of a final dividend.

Apollo Tyres shares traded at ₹437.25 on Monday, recording a 2.13% increase as investors responded to the company's latest financial results. The firm, which is a constituent of the Nifty Midcap 150 index, showed substantial financial progress in the fiscal year ending March 2026.

Financial Growth and Profitability

For the quarter ended March 2026, Apollo Tyres reported consolidated revenue of ₹7,335.67 crore, marking a 14.20% increase compared to the same quarter last year. The consolidated net profit for the same period reached ₹630.72 crore, a significant jump from the ₹184.32 crore recorded in the March 2025 quarter.

On an annual basis, the company saw its revenue grow by 36.39% over the last four years, moving from ₹20,947.58 crore in FY22 to ₹28,470.60 crore in FY26. Net profit also demonstrated a strong recovery, rising to ₹1,371.83 crore in FY26 compared to ₹638.50 crore in FY22. This growth helped the Basic Earnings Per Share (EPS) climb to 21.66 from 10.06 over the same period.

Debt Management and Cash Flow

One of the notable improvements in the company’s balance sheet is the reduction in debt pressure. The debt-to-equity ratio, which measures how much of the company’s assets are funded by borrowings, improved significantly to 0.16 in FY26 from 0.52 in FY22. The company also strengthened its ability to cover interest payments, with the interest coverage ratio rising to 10.92 from 6.07 over the last four years.

Operational efficiency also showed positive signs, with cash flow from operating activities reaching ₹3,667 crore for FY26, more than double the ₹1,823 crore reported in FY25. This rise in cash generation supported a positive net cash flow of ₹149 crore for the fiscal year. These financial metrics suggest that the company is better positioned to fund its operations and future requirements using its internal resources rather than relying heavily on debt.

Dividend and Future Focus

In addition to the financial performance, the company has declared a final dividend of ₹2.50 per share. This follows an interim dividend of ₹3.50 per share distributed earlier in the year. Investors looking ahead will likely monitor whether the company can maintain these profit margins amidst potential volatility in raw material costs, such as rubber prices, which often influence the profitability of tire manufacturers. The company's ability to sustain its current growth trajectory and manage its capital allocation remains a key monitorable for the coming quarters.
