The ePlane Company Inks Deals to Advance India-Made eVTOL

The ePlane Company, also known as Ubifly Technologies, has finalized several supply chain partnerships for its e200X electric aircraft. These deals cover essential components like avionics, wiring, and composite materials, aiming to strengthen domestic production as the company approaches the certification phase.

The ePlane Company, operating as Ubifly Technologies, has announced a series of strategic collaborations to build a domestic supply chain for its e200X electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft. These agreements were formalized at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, marking a significant step in the company's efforts to develop a certifiable aircraft manufactured in India.

Expanding the Domestic Supply Chain

As the company moves closer to the critical certification stage, it has secured partners for several key aircraft systems. A primary development is the collaboration with SASMOS HET Technologies regarding Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems. This partnership focuses on the engineering and design of wiring harnesses and power distribution units, which are essential for the safe operation of high-voltage electric aircraft. The agreement is designed to transition from initial collaboration to a definitive contract as the e200X project progresses.

In addition to electrical systems, The ePlane Company is focusing on structural and navigational integrity. It has partnered with Ankit Aerospace for the supply of aerospace-grade fasteners. Ankit Aerospace brings experience from working with major government and research entities such as ISRO, HAL, and DRDO. Furthermore, the company has entered into an agreement with Azista Composites to provide the composite materials needed for the e200X airframe, including specialized carbon fiber products.

Avionics and Interior Customization

Navigation and situational awareness remain core to the aircraft's development. The company highlighted its ongoing work with HENSOLDT Avionics, which provides the radar and flight control systems. This relationship, which began earlier in 2026, is essential for meeting the safety and technical standards required for eventual certification.

To ensure the e200X can serve various commercial purposes, the company has also partnered with AMS Heli Design. This collaboration aims to develop modular interior solutions that allow the aircraft to be configured for different roles, such as emergency medical services, air taxi operations, cargo transport, or private travel. By creating a versatile cabin design, the company hopes to address multiple market segments with a single airframe platform.

For market participants, these partnerships are meaningful because they reduce reliance on imported components and help stabilize the production roadmap for the e200X.
