India Pushes for Balanced Trade Deal with US, Highlights Space Cooperation Triumph
India remains actively engaged with the United States to establish a mutually beneficial and balanced trade arrangement, stated India's Ambassador to the US, Vinay Mohan Kwatra. He emphasized that the dialogue with the United States Trade Representative (USTR) is ongoing, with the hope of reaching an agreement as soon as possible.
Kwatra noted that the tone for the bilateral relationship was set early this year, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the US. This visit resulted in a substantial outcome document across various sectors, with space cooperation being a prominent area.

Ambassador Kwatra described India's recent successful launch of an American communication satellite as a "very important and big day" for the partnership between Washington and New Delhi. India is preparing to host the AI Impact Summit on February 19-20 in New Delhi, the first time such a summit will be held in the Global South.
