Telangana Forges Ahead as a Global AI Powerhouse
On January 22, 2026, the Telangana government announced the establishment of 'Aikam,' a new AI innovation entity, during the World Economic Forum's annual meeting in Davos. This initiative is designed to propel Telangana into the global spotlight as a key player in artificial intelligence, aiming to be recognized among the top 20 AI innovation hubs worldwide. Further collaborations were initiated with the AI CoLab of the MedStar–Georgetown Collaboration Centre to advance research in healthcare and life sciences, and with Journey for AI-driven design and immersive digital experiences.
