Strategic Indian Market Focus
Dell Technologies is identifying India as one of its most critical high-growth markets globally. The company is leveraging the nation's vast scale, youthful demographic, and swift digital adoption to lead the next wave of intelligent computing.
Having manufactured in India for over 18 years, Dell highlights its robust local capabilities and ecosystem integration as foundational to its sustained focus. Raj Kumar Rishi, Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Business (Asia Pacific and Japan), stated India is not merely an opportunity but a long-standing strategic market.
AI PC Surge
The company observes substantial potential in the widespread adoption of AI-powered computing, particularly among students and emerging consumers. Dell aims to broaden access to these advanced devices, which it believes is crucial for reducing digital disparities and fostering economic development.
Consumers are increasingly viewing PCs as enduring investments, with a noticeable shift towards AI-enabled devices that offer enhanced performance, smarter workflows, and improved user experiences. Devices lacking built-in AI are perceived as less future-proof, making AI-ready systems more appealing.
Expanding Retail Footprint
Dell continues to expand its physical presence across India, with operations now covering over 400 cities. Its retail network is substantial, comprising more than 540 Dell Exclusive Stores, over 850 large-format retail outlets, and more than 5,000 multi-brand stores.
As part of an experience-led strategy, Dell is also investing in specialized retail spaces. This includes dedicated Alienware gaming stores in major cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru, designed to offer immersive environments and community engagement for gamers.
