AI Automation Partnership Unveiled

Bharat Forge Ltd. announced Thursday it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Germany's Agile Robots SE. This collaboration aims to jointly explore opportunities in artificial intelligence-led robotics and intelligent industrial automation.

The partnership will combine Bharat Forge's manufacturing expertise with Agile Robots' intelligent automation solutions. The primary focus is deploying advanced technologies across key sectors including automotive, healthcare, and consumer electronics. This Indo-German venture specifically targets civilian industries and manufacturing.

Co-Development and Market Expansion

Under the MoU, the two entities plan to co-develop bespoke solutions for manufacturing, industrial CPG, and logistics. They will also work on building capabilities to offer these applications within the India and Southeast Asia markets. Agile Robots will act as a strategic partner for enabling fully autonomous or ‘dark’ factory operations through vision- and AI-based robotic systems.

Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director at Bharat Forge, stated the collaboration reinforces the company's ambition to provide state-of-the-art robotic and automation solutions while driving internal manufacturing efficiencies. Rory Sexton, Executive Director at Agile Robots, highlighted the partnership as strengthening their position in India's growing manufacturing sector.

Shares of Bharat Forge Ltd. concluded trading on the BSE on January 8 at ₹1,452.80, marking a decline of ₹30.60, or 2.06%.
