GAIL, PNGRB Launch National PNG Drive 2.0 for Cleaner Energy Future

GAIL (India) Limited has joined forces with the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) for a nationwide initiative to boost Piped Natural Gas (PNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) adoption.\nThe campaign, dubbed \"#NonStopZindagi campaign under National PNG Drive 2.0,\" is slated to run from January 1 to March 31, 2026. This collaboration signifies a collective push by energy sector stakeholders toward cleaner, safer, and more efficient energy solutions for homes, businesses, and transportation.\n\n### National Energy Goals Alignment\nThis drive aligns with India's strategic objective to elevate natural gas's contribution to the national energy mix to 15% by 2030. The PNGRB is supporting this transition by introducing a Unified Tariff framework. This framework standardizes transportation charges, fostering an integrated national gas transmission network for broader access.\n\n### Campaign Objectives and Outreach\nThe core mission is to cultivate widespread awareness and stimulate demand for PNG, CNG, and the City Gas Distribution (CGD) network. The initiative will encourage uptake across domestic, commercial, and industrial segments, while promoting CNG as a favored fuel for vehicles. Messaging emphasizes benefits like improved safety, consistent reliability, user convenience, and cost savings.\n\n### Multi-Channel Engagement Strategy\nAn integrated approach utilizes digital, offline, and on-ground channels to maximize reach. Standardized creative toolkits will ensure uniform messaging and measurable lead generation for CGD entities. Digital components include social media posts, GIFs, influencer campaigns, and platform-specific videos. On-ground activations, such as mobile van branding and community engagement materials, aim to deepen local connection and public engagement.
