The Noida International Airport at Jewar, a large-scale project covering approximately 5,000 hectares, is poised to become a major aviation hub for North India, though its operational launch date has seen delays, with an initial target of February 2026. Railways: Uttar Pradesh holds the distinction of having the largest railway network in the country, extending over 16,986 km as of March 2023. This extensive network forms a strong backbone for both passenger and freight movement. In public transport, the state leads with metro services operating in five cities: Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Kanpur, and Agra. Additionally, the Delhi-Meerut corridor features India's first rapid rail, with metro services in Meerut also commencing.

Fostering Investment and Economic Growth

Projects like multi-modal logistics hubs in Dadri and Boraki, alongside specific industrial parks (Defence Corridor, Medical Device Park, Data Centre Park, Textile Park, Food Park), are designed to facilitate seamless movement of goods and raw materials, thereby enhancing manufacturing and warehousing capabilities. The state's proactive policies and focus on creating integrated logistics ecosystems, supported by initiatives like the Multi-Modal Logistics Park Policy 2024, are intended to redefine freight movement and strengthen its competitive advantage on both national and global platforms. The state's Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) is estimated to reach Rs 30.80 trillion in FY26, reflecting its growing economic stature.
