L&T Finance announced a compelling business update for the December quarter, highlighting substantial gains in its retail lending operations. Loan Book Expansion Continues
The company's retail loan book swelled to approximately ₹1.11 lakh crore by the close of December 2025. This represents a robust year-on-year growth of roughly 21% from ₹92,224 crore in the corresponding period last year. This expansion signals strong demand and successful market penetration across its key customer segments.
Broad-Based Growth and Strategy Execution
Growth was reported as broad-based, encompassing rural, urban, SME, and farmer finance segments. The lender maintained a strong focus on retail assets, with retailization remaining high at 97% during the quarter. Ahead of the announcement, shares of L&T Finance concluded trading at ₹320.50 on the National Stock Exchange, marking a modest 0.23% gain. However, the stock has delivered an outstanding performance over the past year, achieving a remarkable 133% surge in 2025. This represents its strongest annual return since its market debut in 2011, reflecting strong investor confidence in its strategic direction and financial execution.
