Record Year for BMW India
BMW India announced its strongest sales performance to date in 2025, delivering 18,001 cars and achieving a robust 14% year-on-year growth. The luxury German marque sustained its upward trajectory, marking its fourth consecutive year of double-digit expansion in the Indian market despite a dynamic economic climate.
SUV Momentum Continues
The company's sports utility vehicle (SUV) lineup was a significant growth engine, recording a 22% year-on-year increase with 10,748 units sold. These models accounted for 60% of BMW India's overall car sales for the year. The BMW X1 emerged as the most popular model, followed closely by the BMW X5.
EV Surge Accelerates
Electric vehicle sales experienced explosive growth, soaring by over 200% year-on-year. BMW and MINI sold a combined 3,753 EVs, which represented 21% of the total volume, a substantial leap from 8% in 2024. The BMW iX1 led the premium EV segment, solidifying BMW's leadership in electric mobility.
Product Offensive and Network Expansion
BMW Group India launched 20 new products across its brands, including key models like the BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase and the BMW X3. The company also reported strong performance from BMW Motorrad, delivering 5,841 motorcycles, with the BMW G 310 RR being the top-selling smart-cc bike. Looking ahead, BMW plans to expand its network, adding 19 new outlets across 18 cities in 2026.
