DHL Expands Chennai Footprint
DHL Supply Chain India has leased approximately 350,000 square feet of warehousing space in Chennai. The facility is situated at Value Spaces Logistics & Industrial Park in Polivakkam. This strategic move is set to commence on December 15, 2025.
Financials of the Deal
The monthly rental for the leased space amounts to ₹77 lakh, equating to roughly ₹22 per square foot. Over an 11-month lease tenure, the annual rent is projected at ₹9.24 crore. If this rate persists for five years, the cumulative rental value could reach ₹46.2 crore. DHL Supply Chain paid a security deposit of ₹2.3 crore to the landlord.

The industrial park's location in Polivakkam, near Thiruvallur, positions it well within a key warehousing cluster for Chennai. It offers vital connectivity to major arterial roads and industrial corridors. This area is crucial for automotive, electronics, and engineering sectors. Industry observers note that the region's attractiveness stems from available land, competitive pricing, and enhanced highway and port connectivity, fueling demand for organized warehousing development.
