Godawari Power & Ispat (GPIL) कंपनीने Ardent Steel Private Limited (ASPL) मधील आपल्या वाट्याचा आणखी 2.52% हिस्सा विकत पूर्ण केला आहे. हा व्यवहार ₹6.60 कोटींना झाला असून, यामुळे ASPL आता GPIL ची 'असोसिएट कंपनी' (Associate Company) राहिलेली नाही.

या विक्रीमुळे GPIL चा Ardent Steel मधील हिस्सा आता 18.46% पर्यंत खाली आला आहे. GPIL च्या बोर्डाने ₹90.87 कोटींमध्ये Ardent Steel मधील आपला संपूर्ण 37.85% हिस्सा विकण्याची योजना मंजूर केली आहे. या योजनेचा हा दुसरा टप्पा आहे.

याआधी, 6 मार्च 2026 रोजी GPIL ने 16.87% हिस्सा ₹40.50 कोटींना विकला होता, ज्यामुळे त्यांचा हिस्सा 20.98% झाला होता.

कंपनीच्या माहितीनुसार, हा निर्णय GPIL ला आपल्या मुख्य स्टील आणि पॉवर व्यवसायांवर अधिक लक्ष केंद्रित करण्यास मदत करेल. यातून मिळणारा पैसा कंपनी आपल्या कोअर (Core) ऑपरेशन्ससाठी वापरेल आणि ताळेबंद (Balance Sheet) सुलभ करेल.
