Torrent Power ki subsidiary, Torrent Saurya Urja 2 Private Limited, ne apna 300 MW ka wind power project drop kar diya hai. Company ka kehna hai ki transmission connectivity aur infrastructure readiness mein lambe waqt se delay ho raha tha, jiske bina kaam aage badhana mushkil tha. Is cancellation ke badle mein unhein SECI ko ₹39.78 Crore ka fine (liquidated damages) bhi dena pad raha hai.
Investors ke liye kya tension hai?
Sabse bada risk ye hai ki company ki planned renewable capacity kam ho gayi hai. Is financial outgo se short-term mein balance sheet par asar padega. Ye situation dikhati hai ki India ke renewable sector mein execution risks kitne zyada hain, khaas karke jab external infrastructure projects time par ready na hon.
