So, hua kya hai ki BDL ke CMD, Cmde. A. Madhavarao (Retd.) April 30, 2026 ko apna tenure poora karke chale gaye hain. Ab is gap ko fill karne ke liye, Ministry of Defence ne Director (Technical) Shri D. V. Srinivas Rao ko 3 mahine ke liye interim CMD ka charge diya hai. Yeh May 1, 2026 se effective hai, jab tak permanent successor ka final approval nahi ho jata ya koi aur instructions nahi aati.

Cmde. Madhavarao ne July 19, 2023 ko CMD ka charge sambhala tha. Aur ab jo interim CMD bane hain, Shri D. V. Srinivas Rao, woh BDL mein 30 saal se zyada ka experience rakhte hain. Woh September 20, 2024 se Director (Technical) the aur R&D aur Electronics Division set up karne mein inkaafi roles play kiye hain.

Waise, permanent CMD ke liye Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) ne February 21, 2026 ko Shailesh Vagerwal ka naam recommend kiya hai, jo abhi Munitions India Limited mein Chief General Manager hain. Toh lagta hai jaldi hi permanent leader bhi mil jayega.

Defence sector mein aise leadership changes bahut important hote hain, specialy public sector companies mein. Interim appointment se kaam smooth chalta rehta hai aur koi badi planning mein rukavat nahi aati. BDL jaise defence manufacturing companies mein toh continuity bohot zaroori hai.

Ek cheez aur hai, BDL ko haal hi mein BSE aur NSE se kuch fines lage the board composition rules follow na karne ki wajah se, jo government ke influence ki taraf ishara karta hai. Toh governance ke mamle mein thoda dhyan rakhna padega, bhale hi interim leader experienced ho.

BDL India ke defence manufacturing sector ka ek bada player hai, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) aur Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) jaise companies ke saath. Ye sab PSUs India ki defence mein self-reliance ke liye crucial hain.

Yaad rakho, interim CMD ka tenure May 1, 2026 se July 31, 2026 tak hai.
