Lemon Tree Hotels Signs Deal for New Nepal Hotel
Lemon Tree Hotels announced on April 2, 2026, a license agreement for a new 98-room hotel in Simara, Nepal. The property will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels.
This development increases Lemon Tree's total footprint in Nepal to seven hotels. The company currently has two hotels operating in the country and five more planned. The new Simara hotel is strategically located just 2 kilometers from Simara Airport.
The move supports Lemon Tree's strategy to grow its international presence, particularly in South Asia. The company is focused on establishing a presence in key transit hubs and markets with strong growth potential. Lemon Tree Hotels, India's largest hotel chain known for its mid-scale and upscale brands, is also targeting expansion into markets like Bhutan and Dubai.
Lemon Tree Hotels aims to operate more than 125 hotels by 2026. As of fiscal year 2023, the company had 109 hotels operational and over 30 more signed or under construction. The successful development and timely opening of new properties are crucial for achieving these expansion goals in a competitive hospitality market.
