Ceinsys Tech Ratings Upgraded After FY26 Growth Surge

Ceinsys Tech Ltd received a credit rating upgrade from Care Ratings, with long-term ratings raised to CARE BBB+ Stable and short-term ratings to CARE A3+. The upgrade follows strong FY26 growth, with revenue rising 59% to ₹662.73 crore and an order book of ₹977 crore, though concentration and working capital remain key investor watch points.

Ceinsys Tech Ratings Upgrade Follows Strong FY26 Performance

Ceinsys Tech Ltd’s long-term rating was upgraded to CARE BBB+; Stable from CARE BBB; Positive by Care Ratings. Short-term ratings improved to CARE A3+ from CARE A3.

The company’s total rated facilities stand at ₹160 crore, including ₹80 crore of long-term facilities and ₹80 crore of short-term facilities.

Reader Takeaway: Strong growth and ratings improve, but order concentration and collections need monitoring.

What just happened

Care Ratings upgraded Ceinsys Tech’s credit profile after an improvement in operating scale, profitability and capital structure. The company reported consolidated operating income of ₹662.73 crore in FY26, compared with ₹418.06 crore in FY25, marking growth of about 59%.

Profitability also improved, with PBILDT rising to ₹151.43 crore from ₹80.22 crore and profit after tax increasing to ₹133.42 crore from ₹63.24 crore.

Why this matters

The rating upgrade reflects stronger financial performance and improved balance sheet strength. The company’s net worth improved following receipt of around ₹130 crore through a preferential issue of share warrants.

Ceinsys Tech reported an outstanding order book of ₹977 crore as of July 31, 2026, providing revenue visibility. The order book-to-revenue ratio stood at 1.47 times based on FY26 performance.

The backstory

The company operates in the technology and IT-enabled services space, with significant exposure to infrastructure-related projects, particularly the water domain.

Care Ratings highlighted that more than 90% of the order book is concentrated in the water infrastructure segment. The top two government authority orders account for around 50% of the total outstanding order book.

What changes now

The upgraded ratings could support Ceinsys Tech’s access to credit facilities and reflect improved financial metrics. The company’s ability to execute its existing order pipeline and convert projects into billed revenue will remain important.

Risks to watch

Key factors highlighted by the rating agency include:

  • High dependence on the water infrastructure segment.
  • Working capital intensity due to milestone-based invoicing and collection cycles.
  • Average collection period of 200 days in FY26 compared with 186 days in FY25.
  • Increase in unbilled revenue to ₹318.60 crore as of March 31, 2026, from ₹133.76 crore in FY25.

Context metrics

Ceinsys Tech reported annual gross cash accruals of ₹130-140 crore, while annual repayment obligations are estimated at around ₹1 crore between FY27 and FY29. The company also has unutilised working capital limits.

What to track next

Investors will track order execution, collection efficiency, reduction in unbilled revenue and diversification beyond the current concentration in water infrastructure projects.
