CarTrade Tech Launches OLX Elite Buyer for Businesses

CarTrade Tech Ltd, through wholly owned subsidiary Sobek India Private Limited operating as OLX India, has launched Elite Buyer for Businesses for dealers, resellers and other professional buyers. The program adds AI-led inventory matching, price intelligence and condition checks to OLX's marketplace. Elite Buyer is adding more than 5,000 buyers daily after sign-ups crossed 100,000 in July 2026, signalling growing adoption of the platform's procurement tools.

CarTrade Tech Expands OLX Elite Buyer Into B2B Procurement

Elite Buyer is adding more than 5,000 new buyers every day.

Sign-ups crossed 100,000 in July 2026, up from more than 80,000 in May.

Reader Takeaway: Strong buyer adoption supports OLX engagement; revenue conversion from the new procurement tools remains the key watchpoint.

What just happened

CarTrade Tech Ltd has expanded OLX India's Elite Buyer initiative with a dedicated offering for dealers, resellers and other businesses that regularly source inventory through the marketplace.

The new Elite Buyer for Businesses program is being launched through CarTrade Tech's wholly owned subsidiary Sobek India Private Limited, which operates OLX India.

The shift takes OLX beyond helping users discover listings. The platform now aims to support more of the procurement process by combining its marketplace data with AI-led tools designed to help professional buyers find, assess and select inventory.

Three capabilities form the core of the offering. VAYA Match Making helps buyers identify relevant inventory, Price Intelligence provides data-backed information for evaluation, and Condition Check supports assessment before a purchase.

The offering spans cars, bikes, real estate, electronics, mobiles and jobs.

Why this matters

The scale of adoption is the clearest number for investors. Elite Buyer sign-ups crossed 80,000 in May 2026 and reached more than 100,000 by July. The program is now adding over 5,000 new buyers per day.

That momentum matters because dealers and resellers are typically repeat users rather than occasional marketplace visitors. Building tools around their procurement workflow could deepen their use of OLX and make the platform more useful to high-intent business customers.

The filing, however, does not quantify revenue, transaction volume, pricing or profit contribution from Elite Buyer for Businesses. Investors therefore have adoption data, but not yet enough information to measure the financial contribution of the initiative.

What changes now

OLX is moving from a largely discovery-oriented marketplace toward providing decision-support tools around inventory procurement. Proprietary marketplace information and AI capabilities are central to that strategy.

For CarTrade Tech shareholders, the next test is execution. Rapid buyer additions establish initial traction, but the more important financial question is whether those users generate higher engagement, transaction activity or service revenue over time.

What to track next

Investors should watch whether CarTrade Tech discloses monetization metrics for Elite Buyer, including revenue contribution, paid adoption or transaction activity.

Growth in business-buyer usage will also matter. Sustaining the current pace of more than 5,000 additions per day would indicate continued demand, while future disclosures on engagement and monetization would provide a clearer measure of the program's value to CarTrade Tech.
