Sharika Enterprises Secures Key Power Distribution Contracts Under RDSS Scheme

Sharika Enterprises has announced major progress in its power distribution projects across Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat under the government's RDSS scheme. The company is modernizing grids with smart technology while building a new manufacturing facility in the YEIDA region to boost local production of power equipment.

Sharika Enterprises Expands Power Grid Footprint with New RDSS Contracts

Sharika Enterprises has confirmed significant project wins and operational milestones across multiple Indian states under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). The company is scaling its presence in grid modernization, focusing on feeder automation and distribution monitoring.

Reader Takeaway: Strong project pipeline in distribution automation balances the capital-intensive nature of building new manufacturing facilities.

What just happened

Sharika Enterprises has been awarded a critical contract for the Ganga Corridor modernization project in Uttarakhand. The company will install SCADA/ADMS solutions, over 60 Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) for substation automation, and more than 960 Feeder Remote Terminal Units (FRTUs) for ring main unit (RMU) automation across Dehradun, Haridwar, and Rishikesh. In addition, the firm is currently installing 998 communicable Overhead Fault Passage Indicators (FPIs) in Varanasi for PVVNL and supplying 11 kV sectionalizers to Gujarat's DGVCL.

Manufacturing and Tech Development

The company is building a dedicated manufacturing facility in the YEIDA region to produce control panels, FPIs, autoreclosers, and sectionalizers. This move aligns with the 'Make in India' initiative. Furthermore, Sharika is deepening its software capabilities by collaborating with Brazil-based Spin Engenharia to develop advanced ADMS modules, aiming to enhance the reliability of India's power distribution networks.

Strategic Outlook

Management has identified a massive addressable market, noting that approximately 4,000 towns across India are currently slated for distribution network transformation. The company plans to use its specialized portfolio in feeder automation and SCADA technology to capture a larger share of this national transition toward smart grid infrastructure.
