S&S Power Switchgear Reports Q1 FY27 Results: Consolidated Loss Despite Revenue Growth

S&S Power Switchgear reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 0.26 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. Total consolidated income increased by 18.5% to Rs 71.65 crore compared to Rs 60.41 crore in the same period last year.

Reader Takeaway: Higher revenue but a swing to consolidated loss; standalone performance shows improvement.

What just happened

S&S Power Switchgear announced its unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027 (ended June 30, 2026). The company reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 0.26 crore, a significant shift from a net profit of Rs 1.77 crore in the prior year's corresponding quarter. However, consolidated total income saw a healthy increase, rising by 18.5% to Rs 71.65 crore from Rs 60.41 crore.

On a standalone basis, the company posted a net profit of Rs 0.48 crore, a substantial improvement from a standalone loss of Rs 1.70 crore in Q1 FY26. Standalone total income also grew to Rs 3.69 crore from Rs 1.02 crore.

Why this matters

The consolidated loss, despite higher revenues, indicates pressure on profitability. Investors will be keen to understand the factors contributing to this shift. The improvement in standalone performance, however, offers a positive counterpoint. The appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer also brings a change in financial leadership.
