Pace Digitek Reports Major BESS Deployment
Pace Digitek's subsidiary, Lineage Power Private Limited (LPPL), announced it had deployed 178 containerized Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) units by March 31, 2026. This deployment represents a significant operational milestone, bringing approximately 2.5 GWh of BESS capacity online. The achievement was realized within just six months of LPPL's dedicated BESS facility becoming operational in October 2025. These BESS units are supporting projects for central government agencies, state agencies, and private sector clients across India.
Significance for Pace Digitek
This rapid execution marks a key step in Pace Digitek's strategy, demonstrating its shift from manufacturing readiness to an execution-focused deployment model for its energy solutions. It establishes the company as an integrated player in the energy storage value chain, encompassing manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), as well as direct deployment. This development is crucial for Pace Digitek's growing role in India's expanding energy storage market, which is vital for integrating renewable energy sources and ensuring grid stability.
Scaling Operations and Company History
Lineage Power Private Limited (LPPL) has been actively scaling its operations. The company inaugurated a BESS manufacturing facility with a 5 GWh annual production capacity in Bidadi, Karnataka, by June 2025. Earlier in March 2026, LPPL had already celebrated delivering its 100th containerized BESS unit. Pace Digitek's Q3 FY26 financial results, reported in February 2026, showed the delivery of 400 MWh of BESS capacity during that quarter, with 200 MWh already commissioned.
Adding to its energy segment growth, Pace Digitek secured a significant EPC order from NTPC in April 2026 for a 200 MW / 400 MWh BESS deployment. The company's project portfolio includes large utility projects such as SECI's 600 MW/1,200 MWh standalone BESS and KREDL's 250 MW solar project integrated with 1.1 GWh of BESS. Pace Digitek Ltd, originally incorporated in 2007, expanded its business scope in 2014 by acquiring GE's power electronics division, which became Lineage Power.
