Manaksia Coated Metals Signs Rs 210 Crore Export MoU With European Client

Manaksia Coated Metals & Industries has secured a major Rs 210 crore export MoU with a leading European customer. This deal reinforces the company's export-led growth strategy, which contributed over 68% of total revenue in FY26, as it expands into new global markets like Brazil and Jamaica.

Manaksia Coated Metals Secures Rs 210 Crore Export Deal

MoU Value: Rs 210 crore | H1 FY27 Exports: Rs 397 crore

Reader Takeaway: Strong export visibility and new market expansion bolster revenue, though timely commissioning of the second coating line remains vital.

What just happened

Manaksia Coated Metals & Industries Limited (MCMIL) has finalized an export Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) valued at Rs 210 crore with a prominent European client. The agreement is a strategic move to solidify the company's international presence and maximize the utilization of its value-added product facilities.

Why this matters

The export segment is the primary engine for MCMIL, accounting for 68.21% of total revenue in FY26. This MoU provides clear demand visibility and follows the company's aggressive expansion into four new geographies—Latvia, Brazil, Jamaica, and Somalia—during the first half of FY27. Exports in H1 FY27 alone have reached Rs 397 crore, signaling strong momentum following the Rs 603 crore export turnover recorded in FY26.

Operational Performance

The company is aggressively scaling its production capabilities. It currently operates with an Alu-Zinc capacity of 1,80,000 MTPA and is in the process of ramping up its Pre-Painted Steel capacity to 2,36,000 MTPA. A significant upcoming milestone is the commissioning of its second Colour Coating Line, which is expected to further enhance the company's value-added product mix.

What changes now

Management, led by Whole Time Director Mr. Karan Agrawal, indicated that the current expansion strategy is twofold: focusing on high-margin value-added steel products and optimizing power costs through renewable energy initiatives. The company has already set its sights on Phase 2 expansion targets for FY28 to meet evolving global demand.

Risks to watch

Success hinges on the smooth commissioning of the second Colour Coating Line and the ability to execute the large export order volume efficiently. Market volatility in European demand and global shipping logistics could pose minor headwinds to the projected export timeline.

What to track next

Shareholders should monitor updates regarding the commissioning date of the second Colour Coating Line and further reports on export order execution throughout the coming quarters.
